converstation with a student

Today I went a little earlier than usual and sat with the students at lunch. While I was there, I was talking to one student in particular, the one that got moved to a different social studies class. I was asking her how she was doing and how she liked the class. We talked about her feelings about it and how she was worried and scared initially because it was something new. I told her about my experience about moving to a different seat,not quite the same but same feelings. I think it helped for her to be able to relate to someone with a similar experience. She began to ask me about by background and where I was born and things like that because she kenw I was Jewish so she didn't know if I was born here or somewhere else. It was really nice for both of us to be able to share different experiences and information about ourselves. It was a really good conversation and I was able to practice obtaining/doing mutal knowledge. I can't wait to have more of them!
